I sweat heavily during intense workouts. Pros - This mat was just the right size and did not shift underneath your feet like the yoga mats. It's easy to roll up, minimizes sweat touching my precious hardwood floor, and easy to clean. Cons - It is not waterproof as the description clearly states. I avoided yoga mats because those aren't normally waterproof. After heavy sweating, I can see small amounts of liquid seep through the mat to the floor. It can handle light sweating without a hitch though. The description also clearly states that it's odorless. There was a clear rubbery smell from the mat I received. The smell wasn't offensive but obviously came from the mat. I'm giving it 4 stars because it didn't do a good job of protecting my floor when I stand on it, but I can see it fulfilling it's purpose if it's below a treadmill. If it weren't for me using it... When I added this mat under my equipment, I no longer was breathing as much dust. The mat is sturdy also. Thing is, I should have pre-measured what I needed. 73 x 33 sounded really long, but it came a little short to what I actually needed-my mistake. I had to send for another mat, smaller, and turns out, made of plastic. Therefore, I was confirmed that THIS mat is of good materials and should last quite a while. |
